KEENE, N.H. -- With just 13 seconds left in the overtime period, Marita Brothers scored on a penalty corner to give Keene State a 3-2 win over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in non-conference field hockey action on Wednesday afternoon at the Owl Athletic Complex. With the loss, the Engineers fall to 4-8 overall, while the Owls improve to 10-4 on the season. 
The first four goals of the game all came in the first half, as Keene State scored first, getting on the board just over a minute into play. Mariah Barnett gave the Owls a 1-0 advantage at 1:05. At 11:34, Rensselaer tied the game at 1-1, as 
Molly Zuk (Stoughton, MA / Stoughton) tallied her second goal of the season. Less than four minutes later, Keene State got a second goal from Barnett to put the Owls back on top. However, 
Claire Cecilio (San Jose, CA / Archbishop Mitty) tied the game up once again before the half, scoring the Engineers' second goal in the 26th minute. 
The teams battled through a scoreless second half, with Keene State outshooting the Engineers, 8-5. Both goalkeepers were able to stop each shot on goal, and the teams headed to overtime tied at 2-2. 
The Owls got off six shots in overtime, while Rensselaer managed just two. Keene State drew three penalty corners late in the period, with the final coming in the waning seconds, allowing Brothers to score the gamewinner. 
Keene State outshot RPI, 23-20, in the game, and held a 7-5 advantage in penalty corners. Engineer goalkeeper 
Hannah Clough (Acton, MA / Acton-Boxborough Regional) totalled 14 saves in the complete-game effort, while Megan Dwyer (35:00, eight saves) and Shauna Whittemore (49:47, five saves) split time in the cage for the Owls. 
Rensselaer will return to action on Saturday, visiting Kean University in further non-conference play.
