Complete ResultsROCHESTER, N.Y. - Senior Zac Borrelli earned the Men's Field Performer of the Meet in leading the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) to the Liberty League Championship for the sixth consecutive season. Borrelli won three throwing events at the meet, capturing the shot put with a distance of 15.08 meters, the discuss with a throw of 46.29 meters and the hammer throw with a distance of 53.44 meters.
Several other Engineers also posted wins, including one in record-setting fashion. Sophomore Bobby Parker set the meet record in winning the men's 5,000 meters in a time of 15:07.08, besting the old record of 15:08.29, which was set in 2007.
Alex Delaney won the men's 400-meter hurdles in a time of 57.86 and Aldous Strother captured the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:43.87. Zach Vanderzee won the 800 meters in a time of 1:56.34, while Dylan Landy finished first in the 400 meters (50.45). Jacob Andrews won the 10,000-meter run in 31:57.15 and Stephen Silber was victorious in the high jump with a mark of 1.88 meters.
Rensselaer's women's team had two record-setting efforts on the afternoon.
Melinda Wilson set the Liberty League record in winning the women's discuss with a mark of 38.15 meters. The old record of 37.45 was established in 2009.
Lydia Frangos set a new league mark in winning the women's hammer with throw of 54.06 meters, taking down the old mark of 52.40, which was set in 2010.
Ivy Muchuma had multiple first place finishes for RPI, capturing the shot put with a mark of 12.11 meters and winning the javelin with a throw of 33.77 meters.
Buehler was second in the high jump (1.59) and triple jump (11.03), third in the long jump (4.97) and 100 meter hurdles (16.15) and she helped the 4x100 relay team to a fourth place finish (52.33).
