LATHAM, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team lost just seven games in three doubles matches and only 13 in six singles matches on its way to sweeping Rochester Institute of Technology, 9-0, at Tri-City Fitness. The Engineers improve to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the Liberty League, while the Tigers are now 0-5 and 0-2.

The highlight of doubles came at No. 2, in which senior Casey Olsen and classmate Amanda Alexander won, 8-1. Olsen then posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, while Alexander won her No. 4 singles match, 6-2, 6-2. Emily Aaldenberg added a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6.

Rensselaer is idle until March 22 when it faces Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Claremont, Calif. RIT plays at Nazareth College on March 19 at 4pm.
