Fan ShopLA MIRADA, Calif. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team won each of the three doubles matches and singles matches No. 2 through No. 5 to defeat Biola University, 7-2. The match was RPI's final on its California Spring Break trip and the Engineers are now 6-4 overall and 3-1 on the West Coast. The Eagles fall to 3-13.
Junior Emily Laurillard (Niskayuna, NY / Niskayuna) led Rensselaer, earning a win at No. 1 doubles with playing partner
Melanie Frank (Durham, CT / Coginchaug Regional) and at No. 2 singles in three sets.
Amanda Alexander (Houston, TX / The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts),
Pooja Ganesh (Fremont, CA / Westborough) and
Emily Aaldenberg (West Chester, PA / West Chester B. Reed Henderson) also had two victories on the day.
