ENGINEERS SPLIT AT CORTLAND: Rensselaer took one of two games in a doubleheader at Cortland on Saturday, winning game one, 6-3, before falling, 9-1, in game two ... Senior
Jocilyn Rudisill opened the scoring with an RBI-single in the top of the second and RPI took advantage of a Red Dragons throwing error to take a 2-0 lead ... After Cortland pulled one run back in the third, the Engineers broke out the bats in the top of the fourth, plating four runs ... Sophomore

Jena Servidone provided the two biggest hits in the frame as each knocked in two with singles through the infield ... Senior
Kristina Weltzin was solid from the circle, allowing three runs (2 earned) on six hits in 7.0 innings ... She struck out six and walked three ... In game two, Caudle got RPI on the board first with a home run, but that was all the offense the Engineers could muster off of Cortland's Jamie Lachall ... The Red Dragons scored two in the fourth, three in the fifth and four in the sixth for the mercy-rule victory ... Diane Cork went 2 for 2 with a home run and two runs scored, while Niki Barbato was 2 for 3 with a home run, two runs and three RBI.
