RENSSELAER SWEEPS CASTLETON: The Engineers took a pair of non-league games from Castleton on Tuesday, winning by scores of 4-3 (8 innings) and 4-0 ... Junior Stephanie Caudle threw all 8.0 innings in the opener, while classmate Courtney McArthur hit the decisive two-run homer in the top of the 8th, as RPI was able to hold on ... In Game 2, senior Victoria Hepworth threw a complete game shutout, striking out seven in 7.0 innings for the sweep.

CLARKSON DROPS TWO TO PLATTSBURGH: The Golden Knights fell at Plattsburgh State, 7-6 and 4-3 on Wednesday, in non-conference action ... The Cardinals scored five runs in the 6th and 7th inning to walk-off in Game 1, before plating the final four runs in a second come-from-behind victory in Game 2 ... Katie Pelton led Clarkson with a 2 for 4 effort in the nightcap, driving in two.
