TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's and men's swimming & diving teams concluded their dual meet schedules with impressive performances, defeating Hamilton College by scores of 179.50-113.50 and 178-113, respectively. With the victories, the Engineers finish with a combined mark of 15-1 with the men posting a perfect record (8-0) for the second straight season.
Six different women won multiple individual events as RPI won each event. Twin sisters Danielle and Jessica Sauve both won three, while Amanda Wang (backstroke), Siena Sara (breaststroke), Shanny Lin (butterfly) and Jessica Kugelman (diving) had two wins apiece. Wang and Erin Kane also won two relays, while Sara, Lin and Danielle Sauve also participated on a victorious relay.Â
The meet was the last one at home for Sara, a senior who was one of eight honored prior to the competition. Classmate
Richard Dong led the men's team with three individual victories and a relay win on Senior Day.
John Alberta added two individual wins and a pair of relay victories for the men, who captured all but two events. Freshman

Andrew Klobucher - each had an individual win and were part of a relay team that was first to touch the wall.
In addition to Sara, Dong and Klobucher, also honored were Annika Lindstrom, Anna Drechsler, Kathryn Liotta, Barb Long and
Brandon Koo.
The Engineers are now idle until February 15 when they compete in the New York State Championship Meet in Ithaca.
