POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles, but the Engineers dropped each of the six singles matches in a Liberty League contest at Vassar College. RPI, which is ranked 19th in the Northeast Region, falls to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference. The Brewers, ranked 17th regionally, are now 3-1 and 2-0.

After falling behind with a loss at No. 2 doubles, Rensselaer tied the score on an 8-6 win by Allie Kallish and Erica Frommer at No. 1. The third doubles team of Nisha Rajamohan and Mailani Neal put the visitors ahead, 2-1.

The Engineers had their best opportunity to win a singles match at No. 3, where freshman Tess Lubin took Tara Edwards to three sets, but lost 6-4, 2-6, 9-11.
