Engineers renew out of conference match-up for third straight year (4pm)

HOMESTAND CONCLUDES
Rensselaer finishes up its brief two-game homestand on Saturday afternoon against SUNY Potdsam at East Campus Stadium (4pm). 

ALL-TIME VS. THE BEARS
The Engineers owns a 5-2-0 record in the all-time series with Potsdam, which dates back to September 4, 2004 – a 2-1 RPI win at Clifton Commons in Clifton Park. Rensselaer is 2-0-0 at home, 2-1-0 at neutral sites and 1-1-0 in Potsdam.

RECENTLY
Potsdam has won two of the last three meetings in the series, including its first ever over the Engineers on September 14, 2013 – a 2-1 victory in Saratoga Springs.

2016 VS. POTSDAM
Isaac Sanabria scored in the 26th minute and the Bears were able to secure a 1-0 win over RPI in Potsdam on September 17, 2016. Ryan Nealon made two saves for Rensselaer, while Jake Mitchell turned away three for the home clean sheet.

WILLIAMS EDGES RPI
The Ephs received an eighth minute goal from Malcolm Singleton and went on to top Rensselaer, 1-0, on Wednesday night at ECAV Stadium. Sophomore Matt LaBranche recorded seven saves for the Engineers, while Brandon Pirog had two of RPI's three shot attempts.

STREAK SNAPPED
RPI saw its eight-game home unbeaten streak (6-0-2) snapped on Wednesday against Williams, falling 1-0.

RENSSELAER LEADERS
Senior captain Steven Collins (2 goals, 1 assist) and junior Danny Corridan (2 goals, 1 assist) are tied for the team lead with five points apiece. Sophomore Dylan Confair (1 goal, 2 assists) has four points, while sophomores Austin Betterly (1 goal, 1 assist) and Dillon Ashong (1 goal, 1 assist) have three points each. Classmate Matt LaBranche (3-2) has a 1.40 goals against average and an .816 save percentage as the starter in goal for all five matches.

POTSDAM DEFEATED BY HOBART
The Statemen scored in the 18th minute for a 1-0 victory in Potsdam on Friday night. Hunter Critchlow netted the game's only tally in an otherwise evenly played contest that saw both sides register eight shots. Hobart earned five corners to Potsdam's two.
