MEET TIME (OCTOBER 13, 2018): The Engineers are in action for the first time as they host RIT in a dual meet at Robison Pool.

ROSTER MAKEUP: Rensselaer's men's team features seven seniors, six juniors, six sophomores and eight freshmen.

CAPTAINS: Senior Thomas Macaluso, sophomore Everett McNair and senior Noah Pan are the captains of the Engineers' men's team ... Junior Graham Zola is the assistant captain ... Pan is in his second year in the role, while the others are each in their first.

ROSTER MAKEUP: RPI's women's team has four seniors, three juniors, nine sophomores and nine freshmen.

CAPTAINS: The Rensselaer women will be led by three captains and one assistant captain ... Seniors Caitlyn Gardiner, Amanda Wang and Ayla Yagan are the captains and junior Jessica Kugelman is the assistant captain.

LAST YEAR VS. RIT: RPI began their 2017-18 seasons at RIT and both squads eclipsed the 200 point mark in defeating the Tigers ... Rensselaer's women won 203-97 and the men were victorious 216-84 ... Both teams won 14 of 16 events and featured multiple winners.

2017-18 REVISITED: Rensselaer's men and women both had outstanding 2017-18 seasons as they both won Liberty League Championships - the second straight for the men and the first ever for the women - while going a combined 16-1 in dual meets.

DUAL MEET RECORDS: The women were a perfect 9-0 and the men were 7-1 in dual meets in 2017-18.

KUMPF WINNERS: Both RPI teams captured their respective RPI Kumpf Invitationals.

NATIONALS: Rensselaer sent a school-record six student-athletes to the NCAA Championship Meet, including two relays ... The relays were the first two in school history ... Returners Amanda Wang and Kaitlyn Joyce were among those who swam at Nationals.  

SCHOLAR-ALL AMERICAS: The CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams included both RPI squads ... The Engineers' women boasted a team cumulative grade point average of 3.468 for the Spring 2018 semester, while the men had a 3.082 ... The women had 20 of 24 student-athletes earn a 3.0 or better with 15 reaching 3.5 ... Two had perfect marks ... The men had 18 of 27 student-athletes with at least a 3.0 and seven earning 3.5 ... Two had 4.0s.

INDIVIDUALS: The student-athletes who were named Scholar All-America were Shanny Lin and Danielle Sauve, both for the fourth straight year ... Jessica Sauve was honored for the third straight time ... Amanda Wang, Trevor Maxfield and Kaitlin Joyce were also recognized.

MAJOR AWARD: The 2018 Livingston W. Houston Citizenship Award, which honors the "First Citizen of the College"—the recipient must rank high in character, leadership, scholarship, and athletic ability—was presented to Danielle Sauve, who served as a captain last season and was also involved in SAAC.
