PENALTY KILL IMPROVEMENT
After going 3 for 7 in the season-opener at UMass, the Engineers have killed off 19 of 20 chances shorthanded, including 13 of 14 against the Union Dutchmen on October 26 and 27 ... RPI's 95.0% on the kill since October 13 ranks fifth nationally.
SWEEPS ONLY
The last time RPI and Union split a weekend ECAC Hockey series was November 12 and 13 of 2010 ... The Dutchmen won in Schenectady, 2-1, while the Engineers were victorious in Troy, 4-3 in overtime, the following night.
