LATHAM, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team lost just nine games in both doubles and singles as the Engineers defeated Bard College 9-0 in a Liberty League match at Tri City Fitness. RPI improves to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while the Raptors drop to 0-5 and 0-3.
Rensselaer swept the doubles by a combined score of 24-4 with the tandems of
Dylan Payne and
Clay Thompson and
Winston Yu and
Suryansh Patel winning 8-1 at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
In singles, the Engineers won each of the matches from Nos. 3 to 6 with 6-0, 6-0 scores.
