CLAREMONT, Calif. - Sophomore
Brian Niguidula earned a victory at No. 4 singles, but that was the only win for the No. 33 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team, which dropped a match at No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 8-1. The Engineers fall to 3-2, while the Stags are now 5-0.
After losses of 8-0, 8-1, 8-5 in doubles, RPI got a singles win from Niguidula, who posted a score of 6-3, 7-5. Two others,
Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez at No. 1 and
Andrew Imrie at No. 3, fell in tiebreakers.
