Women's Lacrosse Duels No. 19 Ithaca Saturday

LEAGUE SCHEDULE CONTINUES
Rensselaer hosts No. 19 Ithaca College in its second-to-last home game of the regular season on Saturday at Renwyck Field. Opening draw is scheduled for 12pm.

RPI DOWNS UNION
Sophomore Nora Molino scored five goals, while senior Maddy Aslansan had four, to lead the Engineers to a 15-11 victory at Union on Wednesday afternoon. Junior Liz Brady chipped in with four assists, while senior goaltender Aleena Milinski had 10 saves. Union was paced by six goals from Lindsay Gerrato.

ALL-TIME VS. ITHACA
The Bombers lead the all-time series 7-3, including a 1-1 record in two meetings in Troy. RPI won the inaugural meeting on March 22, 1997 – 9-7 at home.

RECENTLY
The Engineers have only two wins since the first meeting, but they came consecutively in 2009 and 2011. In the first Liberty League match-up last season, Ithaca was victorious 12-7.

2018 VS. THE BOMBERS
Ithaca used a 7-2 second half to top RPI, 12-7, on April 14, 2018. Allie Panara (1 goal, 5 assists) paced the Bombers offensively with six points, while Elizabeth Rice had four goals. RPI saw three players register three points, including Maddy Aslansan (2 goals, 1 assist), Morgan Doyle (2 goals, 1 assist) and Erin Goodwin (2 goals, 1 assist). Aleena Milinski finished with 16 saves, while Kimberly Presuto had four for Ithaca.

RPI LEADERS
Senior Abbey Salvon (18 goals, 7 assists) has a team-best 25 points, while classmates Michelle Bolger (20 goals, 2 assists) has 20. Classmate Lauren Guiry (16 goals, 4 assists) and junior Liz Brady (3 goals, 17 assists) have 20 apiece, while sophomore Nora Molino (15 goals, 2 assists) and senior Maddy Aslansan (14 goals, 3 assists) each have 17.

IN NET
Senior Aleena Milinski has started all nine games for the Engineers this season, going 6-3 with an 10.50 goals against average and a .528 save percentage. Junior Maya Manchester has a 10.93 goals against average and a .556 save percentage.

FOR ITHACA
Bailey Herr (32 goals, 24 assists) leads the Bombers with 56 points, while Allie Panara (11 goals, 26 assists) and Elizabeth Rice (29 goals, 5 assists) are right behind her with 37 and 34 points, respectively.

BOMBERS GOALTENDING
Mackenzie Schade is 8-4 with an 11.25 goals against average and a .375 save percentage as the starter in all 12 games for Ithaca this season.
