4/15/2019 4:26:00 PM

TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team is back in action in the Capital Region for the first time since March 24 when it hosts Liberty League foe Union College at Sharp Courts on Tuesday afternoon at 4pm. The match was originally slated to begin at 5pm but was moved up an hour due to concerns with the weather.

No. 35 Rensselaer enters the match with a 6-6 overall record and a 4-1 conference mark. It went 2-1 in its last three matches, all of which were on the road. The Dutchmen, who are playing away from Schenectady for the first time since March 26, are 5-6 and 2-3. They have lost each of their last six matches, including three to nationally-ranked opponents.

In the 2017-18 meeting between RPI and Union, the visiting Engineers won all three doubles matches as well as singles matches Nos. 1-4 in a 7-2 win in their regular season finale. Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez and Andrew Imrie both had two victories in the contest.
