Women's Tennis Takes on Union on Wednesday

TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team concludes its 2018-19 schedule with a home match against Liberty League foe and area-rival Union College on Wednesday at 4pm at Sharp Courts. It will be the final match for Rensselaer seniors Mailani Neal, Nisha Rajamohan and Andrea Valencia.

The Engineers enter with a 7-13 overall record and a 1-6 conference mark, while the Dutchwomen are 3-9 and 1-5. 

The two teams played in Schenectady last season with Rensselaer prevailing 5-4. Rensselaer's No. 2 team of Mailani Neal and Tess Lubin earned an 8-4 win and the No. 3 tandem of Makenzi Herbst and Sasha Towe won by an 8-3 score. Herbst then won at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 7-5, though Towe fell in dramatic fashion at No. 6, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), (12-10).
