TROY, N.Y. - Playing on Sharp Courts for the first time this semester, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team faced Trinity College in a non-league match, which the visiting Bantams won 7-2.
Trinity won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take a 2-0 lead, but the Engineers got an 8-6 win at No. 3 from
Nisha Rajamohan and
Andrea Valencia to pull within a point.Â
The Bantams won the first the first three singles matches to clinch the match before Valencia pulled out a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles. Rensselaer is now 6-10 and Trinity is 2-6.
