WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Freshman Alex Mednikova had a win in singles and a victory in doubles with classmate Rani Jones as the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team continued play in the Lindsay Morehouse Invitational hosted by Williams College. The event, which is in memory of Lindsay Morehouse '00, a Williams alumnus who was one of three to perish in the 9/11 terror attacks, is a non team scoring tournament.

Mednikova posted her singles victory, 6-4, 6-4, over an opponent from Middlebury. In doubles, she and Jones defeated a tandem from Skidmore in a tiebreak, 8-7 (3). The Rensselaer duo of Chloe Barr and Krisia Flores posted a victory in their doubles match, 8-6.

Jones and classmate Nitya Subramaniam suffered losses in tiebreaks in singles, 6-0, 1-6, 1-0 (6) and 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (6), respectively.
