WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Playing in the Lindsay Morehouse Invitational hosted by Williams College for the third and final day, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team faced the host Ephs and Skidmore in singles action and the Engineers posted four wins on the day. The event, which is in memory of a Williams alumnus who perished in the 9/11 terror attacks, was a non team scoring tournament.

Freshman Alex Mednikova earned two of Rensselaer's four wins with victories at No. 1, including a 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 (6) win against junior Risa Fukushige of the Thoroughbreds.

RPI's other two wins came against foes from Williams with freshmen Chloe Barr and Krisia Flores collecting victories. Barr won in a tiebreak (6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (6)) and Flores in straight sets (6-3, 6-2).

The Engineers return to action on Saturday when they play on the first day of the ITA Regional Tournament in Geneva, N.Y.
