SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Swarthmore University pulled out three three-set singles matches to come back from a deficit after doubles and the No. 32 Garnet defeated No. 33 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 5-4 on Faulkner Courts. The Engineers drop to 2-1, while Swarthmore is now 7-1.

With RPI holding a 2-1 after doubles thanks to wins at No. 1 and No. 2, opened its advantage to 3-1 with a win at No. 1 by senior Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez. Sophomore Yudai Teruyama won at No. 3 singles for a 4-2 lead, but the Garnet managed three wins, all in three sets, to capture the match.

Rensselaer is back in action on Wednesday at LeMoyne College, while the Garnet host No. 7 Bowdoin College on Wednesday.
