What makes Rensselaer so special?
"The friends and companions I have met during my time here at RPI are truly special. They, along with athletics, have made my experience here very special." - April 2020

What are your post-graduation plans?
"I will be staying at RPI for a fifth year in order to obtain a master's degree in structural engineering." - April 2020

From the coaching staff:
"The first week of his freshman year Austin wasn't sure he had made the correct choice in attending RPI. We were playing Dickinson in the second day of the Mayors Cup in Oneonta during the second weekend of the season and we had made arrangements for him to ride home with his parents to have time to talk after the game. I said to them, "If we have a big win, Austin might want to take the bus with the team" and they were fine with that. Our starting right winger came down with a stomach bug about 15 minutes into the game. This allowed Austin to get his first chance to play major minutes. With the game tied 1-1 and about 20 seconds left in regulation, he used his speed to get on the end of a thru ball and scored to secure a win 2-1. Needless to say, Austin rode home on the bus. That was his first college goal and his last was the biggest in program history, the winner against Messiah to put us in the Elite 8 of the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Austin became one of the most dangerous players not only in the Liberty League, but in our entire region. Being stronger than he looks and very fast made him a handful for every opponent." - March 2020

What others say:
"Showed interest in the growth of the entire team." - March 2020

"One of the most important players for RPI in 2019. As quick as lightning and never gives up." - April 2020

"Fast. Runs fast and talks fast." - April 2020

"Great player and had a great four years at RPI." - April 2020

"Austin was a great captain this year and it showed in how well our team played together. We had very good chemistry. He was very passionate toward the program and was a team player. It was never about him; he always played and led for the betterment of the team." - April 2020

"Austin was one of the first people on the team to make me feel like I was actually a part of it. Especially being a senior it makes a difference when you take some time to talk to the freshmen early on in the season. Throughout the year he always had great work ethic and pushed those around him to do better on and off the field." - April 2020

"He's fast." - April 2020

"Austin's emotions and passion for the game always helped give the team a boost when we needed it. He is a great friend and probably the fastest man alive." - April 2020
