RPI shot a second round 292 (+8) and is tied with Sewanee, both two shots out of 16th place. Action concludes with the third round on Tuesday.

The Engineers (315-292) were led by senior Joey Harrigan, who carded a 2-under for the day and sits in a tie for fifth place in the event, which features 24 schools and 120 golfers. His two-day total of -1, 141 puts him four shots from the leader, Henry Angier of Methodist (-5, 137), the top-ranked team in Division III. Five others are tied with Harrigan, who had birdies on No. 3 and No. 4 on the front and No. 14 and No. 15 on the back. He also eagled the par-5 17th and finished with a 3-under, 33 on the back nine on Monday.

Each of Rensselaer's other four players shot +5 or better. Sophomore Matt Buckley went out in +1, 36 and came in with the same score to finish 2-over, 73 on the day. He had back-to-back birdies at No. 3 and No. 4 and No. 10 and No. 11 to help combat six bogeys. He has a two-day total of +13 and is tied for 84th.

Freshman Jacob Lindsay is tied for 61st after shooting a +3, 74. He was 2-over on the front nine after a birdie (No. 3), five pars and three bogeys and 1-over on the back. He birdied Nos. 11, 15 and 17 and is +9 in the tournament, tying him for 61st place.

Thomas Fraser and Trent Han both had rounds of +5, 76 with Fraser going 1-over on the back, while Han was 1-under in his final nine holes. The senior birdied three of his final four holes and shot par-or-better on each of his last eight. Fraser, a junior, had a birdie on the front nine and two on the back, including on No, 15. He then shot par on Nos. 16, 17 and 18.
