GENEVA, N.Y. – Three Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis student-athletes have advanced the semifinals of the ITA Northeast Regional Tournament, hosted by Hobart College. Abraham Yohannes, Yudai Teruyama and Emilio Van Cotthem have all made the final day of competition on Sunday.

Yohannes defeated Krish Vennam from Rochester, 6-4, 6-3, and teammate Aiden Drover- Mattinen, 6-3, 7-6, to advance to Sunday's semifinal. There he will face another Engineer in Teruyama, who came away with victories over The College of New Jersey's Justin Wain, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, and Skidmore's Zachary Portnoy, 6-1, 6-4. Van Cotthem delivered wins against Harry Lyu of Hobart, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 and Alex Yang from NYU, 6-2, 6-1. He will face John Rado from Skidmore in the semis.

In doubles play, Yohannes and Eddie Wu fell in the quarterfinals along with Igor Visnevskij and Suhas Krishnan.
