Box Score TROY, N.Y. - For the third time in a week, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team faced a team from the SUNYAC at home and for the third time, the Engineers triumphed, this time defeating Oneonta State 8-1 at Sharp Courts. RPI improves to 3-0 in dual matches, while the Red Dragons fall for the second time in nine contests.

The Engineers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles thanks to wins of 8-1, 8-4 and 8-5. Four student-athletes -
Alex Mednikova,
Lorna Flores Gonzalez,
Brooke Bauer and
Krisia Flores Gonzalez - each went on to post straight set singles wins to seal the victory. Mednikova won without dropping a game, while
Krisia Flores Gonzalez triumphed 6-1, 6-0.
Rensselaer begins Liberty League play on Friday when it travels to Skidmore College for a 4pm match. Oneonta has concluded its fall semester schedule.
