Suhas Krishnan had victories in both doubles and singles to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute men's tennis team to a 7-2 win over Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in a non-league match at Tri-City Fitness. The win is the fourth straight for the No. 27 Engineers, who improve to 6-2 on the season. MIT falls to 4-3.
Drover-Mattinen earned his first win by a score of 8-6 with playing partner
Peter Lohrbach at No. 1 doubles and then captured No. 1 singles in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2. Krishnan and
Eddie Wu triumphed in a tiebreak at No. 3 doubles, 8-7 (9-7) before he took No. 5 singles 6-4, 6-2.
