WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Graduate student
Morgan Daley had a pair of wins and a third place finish and five others also earned victories for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's track & field team at the Williams College Invitational, non team scoring meet. The Engineers also had student-athletes compete in the Bison Outdoor Classic, a multi-divisional meet hosted by Bucknell University.
Daley earned wins in the discus (33.73) and hammer (47.35), while placing third in the shot put. Fellow thrower
Grace Garman won the javelin (30.86) and was runner-up in the discus (30.50). Senior
Jessey Bruening won the shot put (10.14) and was third in the hammer.
The Engineers also had multiple victories in the jumps with
Maya Verma capturing the high jump (1.63) and
Julia Hubbard winning the triple jump (10.58). Hubbard, a junior, also competed in the 100 Hurdles, placing second (16.85) behind teammate
Maria Domingo, who won the 100 Hurdles with a time of 16.44.
On the track at Bucknell, junior
Morgan Lee was ninth of 61 runners in the 5000 invitational with a time of 17:05.36. She was first among Division III racers.
Jillian Lees placed 13th of 96 in the 1500 meters unseeded event with a time of 4:45.78 and
Eileen Beres was 24th of 41 in the 5000 unseeded (19:07.72).Â
