TROY, N.Y. – Twelve different players scored for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's lacrosse team in defeating Bard College, 18-4, on Tuesday night at Renwyck Field. With the win, the Engineers improve to 7-2 overall (3-1 Liberty League), while the Raptors drop to 2-8 (0-5 Liberty League).
Rensselaer netted the game's first 10 goals, including nine in the opening quarter. Senior

Ella Graff (Bloomington, MN / Bloomington Jefferson) each collected a pair of tallies on the Engineers first quarter outburst, with Torcellini also picking up an assist on freshman
Lauren DeLeo's (Wyckoff, NJ / Ramapo) 11th of the season.
Bard freshman Sarah Child (Riverton, UT / Waterford School) got the visitors on the board with 10:40 left in the second quarter, taking a feed from classmate Izzi Poplizio (Croton-on-Hudson, NY / Croton-Hudson) and sticking it past RPI sophomore goalie
Jenny Canfield (Great Falls, VA / Langley) for her 28th goal of the season.
The Engineers answered by closing out the half with a 4-0 run, highlighted by the first collegiate tally from sophomore
Roya Lewis (Loudonville, NY / Shaker). Freshman
Claire Shemo had one of her two assists on Lewis' goal, which came with 1:42 remaining in the third quarter.
Three different Raptors all scored in a 3-0 stretch for the visitors, including the ninth of the season from senior Gillian Adkins (Annapolis, MD / St. Mary's).
Freshman
Bethy Spizzo (Mahway, NJ / Immaculate Heart Academy) the netted her first collegiate goal for the Engineers, who scored the game's final three goals. Classmate
Cara Nalbandian (Hopewell Junction, NY / John Jay High School) stuck home her second of the game and third of the season to help close out the scoring.
Junior
Olivia Kimball (North Hampton, NH / St. Thomas Aquinas) picked up the win between the pipes, despite not being tested once. Freshman
Julianna Lucas (Hopkinton, MA / Hopkinton) made three saves in 30 minutes, while Canfield did not make a stop in 15 minutes of action.
Bard freshman Martha Pasatiempo (Dacula, CA / Archer) finished with five saves.
The Engineers are back in action on Friday, when they host Vassar College (4pm). Bard travels to No. 10 Ithaca on Friday (4pm)
