MADISON, N.J. - The Renssealer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team will send players to the ITA Northeast Regional Finals in both singles and doubles play on Monday, as Okada Tsubasa will represent the Engineers in singles play, while Aidan Drover-Mattinen and
Andy Zhu will wear the red in doubles play.
Tsubasa made his way to singles play after taking a 6-0, 6-4 win in the quarterfinals, and skipping over his teammate, Zhu, in the semifinals. He will face Matt MIchibata in the finals on Monday.
In doubles, Drover-Mattinen and Zhu won two matches 8-2 to make their way into the final on Monday. They will face off with Michibata and Maitland-Carter of TCNJ in the final match. Both doubles pairings were the top two seedings coming into the regional.
Action on Monday will kick off at 10 a.m. with the singles matchup, while the doubles pairing will vye for a win at 4:20 p.m.
