TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's swimming and diving team continued their strong start to their season, as they defeated Vassar College by a final score of 186-93 on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Mike Dowd led the Engineers with a trio of victories, earning his first of the day in the 50 yard freestyle before doing the same in the 100 yard freestyle. Dowd then teamed up with
Tony Min,
Jason Weller, and
Ethan Gadbois to claim the top spot in the 400 freestyle relay.
Min then led three Engineers on the leaderboard in the 200 yard freestyle, while
Sam Ciegler took the top spot in the 1,000 yard freestyle. Nick Stefanidis also won the 100 yard breaststroke to cap the highlights of the day for RPI.
The Engineers return to action on Friday, Dec. 1 when they head to MIT for the three-day MIT Winter Invitational.
