BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team was edged out by Babson in a road matchup on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 6-3. With the loss, RPI moved to 2-1 overall on the season, while Babson moved to 4-1 overall.
 
The Engineers began the day winning two of three doubles matches, dropping only the top spot in the lineup. The doubles pair of Igor Visnevskij and Abraham Yohannes took an 8-5 victory at the No. 2 spot, while Bryce Burnham and Max Safanov won by the same score at No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles, Aidan Drover-Mattinen won the only singles match at the No. 1 spot, taking a 6-4, 6-2 straight set victory over Brady Anderson.
 
RPI returns to action on Sunday, March 5 at 2 PM when they open their spring break trip in California with a dual match with Occidental College in Los Angeles.
