Game 2
RPI opened the game with a 4-0 lead after scoring a pair of runs in the first and an RBI single from Evann McDowell with the bases loaded scored two to make it 4-0 Engineers in the top of the third inning.

In the bottom of the third, Webster battled back and scored a pair of runs before exploding for five runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 7-4 lead. In the fifth and sixth innings, RPI battled back to tie the game at 7-7, with Charli Smith and Alex Ledger contributing RBI singles as the highlights.

With the score all even, Webster squeaked back out in front with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to take an 8-7 lead. Needing at least one run to force a bottom of the seventh, RPI responded with that run when Gabby Corneau singled in Erin Askins to tie the game back at 8-8.

As two runners remained on base, Callista Adorno knocked a go-ahead three-run home run to give the Engineers an 11-8 lead – which moved to 12-8 later in the inning as Smith was able to sneak home on a double steal. Brooke Sroczinski held down the fort in the bottom of the seventh to help secure the win.

Adorno and Caroline Peel each collected three hits apiece, with Adorno finishing with four RBI's. Three other Engineers finished with two hits apiece, while Kaley Adzick finished with four hits for the Gorloks

The Engineers return to action on Saturday, March 11 starting at 11 am when they face University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Weber University in another doubleheader in Tucson.
