Field Hockey Gets Back On Track With 3-1 Win Over Vassar

TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) field hockey team earned a 3-1 Liberty League triumph over Vassar tonight on Harkness Field.

Dani Samuelson, Sophia Brown, and Emily Dubord all recorded goals for RPI in the victory.

After a scoreless first half, Samuelson touched home a scoring sequence that featured an assist from Ria Patel. 

Brown scored five minutes into the fourth quarter, as she collected a rebound from Abby Peterson's shot off the post for her ninth goal of the season.

Dubord struck from long range to give the Engineers insurance four minutes after Brown's strike. 

Next up, RPI welcomes St. Lawrence to Troy for an 11:00 am meeting on Saturday.
