TROY, NY- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball is set to take the field for the first time on the newly renovated Doris Robison Field with a doubleheader against Russell Sage College this afternoon.  

The generous support was made by James Alden '58.  With the completed upgrades, the Robison softball field now features brand new home and away dugouts, batting cages, bullpens, outfield turf, infield grading, press box, and spectator areas, all of which help the Engineers continue to build on their success at the national level.

The Engineers have secured two NCAA tournament appearances in the last five full seasons of competition and moved up to 19th in the NFCA national poll after starting the 2024 campaign with an unbeaten record of 9-0-1.

First pitch on the new Robison Field is scheduled for 3:00 pm today.
