LATHAM, N.Y. - The No. 24 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team took home their eighth win in a row, as they defeated Skidmore College by a final score of 7-2 at Tri-City Fitness Friday night.
The Engineers started out strong, taking two of three courts in doubles - led by
Aiden Drover-Mattinen and
Andy Zhu at No. 1 doubles.
Tsubi Okada and
Joel McCandless also won at No. 2 doubles - with each pairing winning 8-2.
In singles, RPI won five of six courts - with Drover-Mattinen and Zhu taking wins in the top two lineup spots.
Bryce Burnham was also a notable win at No. 4 singles, taking a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
RPI returns to action next Saturday, April 13 at 4 p.m. when they take on RIT on the road in Rochester.
