TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) softball team and individuals from the RPI men's tennis team and Engineer Men's and Women's Track & Field teams are getting ready for NCAA Championship appearances in the coming weeks.

Appearing in the NCAA Championship bracket for the second consecutive season, the Engineers enter the weekend as the #2 seed in the four-team regional. RPI will open the tournament against Williams, the pod's third seed, in Thursday's 2:30 pm matchup. The Engineers and Ephs are no strangers to one another, as the two non-conference squads have played at least twice in 14 of the last 16 seasons. Williams holds a 19-10-1 advantage over RPI in the 30 total games played between the two programs since 2008, however the Engineers have claimed two of the last three contests.

2024 NCAA DIII Men's Tennis Championship
The NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Committee has selected RPI's Aiden Drover-Mattinen and Andy Zhu as one of 16 teams to compete in the doubles competition at the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships. Additionally, Drover-Mattinen qualified into the 32-person individual championship for the third consecutive season. The selection of teams and individuals for the championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule and eligibility and availability of student-athletes. Drover-Mattinen and Zhu will debut in the team championship on May 21, while the individual championship is scheduled to start May 26. Both competitions will take place at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Saint Louis, Missouri.

MIT Final Qualifier

Individuals from the RPI men's and women's track & field teams head to MIT for the team's final scheduled competition before next week's NCAA Division III Championships. Thursday's meet represents one of the final opportunities for any Engineers hoping to qualify for the national championship in Myrtle Beach, SC.
