Engineers Face ECAC-Leading Quinnipiac

TROY, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey team was tagged for 6-2 loss by ECAC-leading Quinnipiac tonight in Houston Field House.

Elliott McDermott and Dovar Tinling provided the scoring for RPI, as the duo netted one goal each in the second period.

RPI's best moments can in the second frame where the Engineers erased a 2-0 deficit with the McDermott and Tinling strikes.

The third period was not friendly for the Engineers however, as the #14 nationally-ranked Bobcats pulled away with four goals in the stanza.

Jack Brackett assisted on both of the Engineers goals. Tinling and Felix Caron had one helper apiece as well.

Looking forward, RPI will have a chance to recalibrate with trips to Dartmouth and Harvard next weekend.
