LOUDONVILLE, NY - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team commenced the spring season with a 7-0 win versus Stevens today.

Lorna Flores Gonzalez set the tone with a 4-6, 6-2 (1-0) win as the one seed. Nicole Ridenour also claimed a 6-2, 6-1 victory as the number two and Gauri Muliyil won 6-2, 6-2 as the third seed.

Victoria Sarabosing (6-2, 6-1), Anushka Jaiswal (6-2, 6-1), and Brooke Bauer (7-5, 6-3) were all victorious in singles play as well.

Additionally, RPI claimed all three doubles matches. Flores Gonzalez/Ridenour earned a quick 6-2 triumph on the top line, while the teams of Jaiswal/Sarabosing (7-5) and Muliyil/Taylor Chandler (6-1) were also successful.

The Engineers will finish the weekend with a 2:00 pm tilt tomorrow against Wellesley.
