Box Score LUDLOW, MASS - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's tennis team defeated Bates 6-1 at TriCity Rentals today.

RPI claimed five singles victories on the afternoon, plus wins in two of the three doubles contests.

Nicole Ridenour (6-4, 6-1) and Gauri Muliyil (6-2, 6-1) were victorious in straight-sets as the respective top-two singles seeds for the Engineers.

Victoria Sarabosing won a marathon 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 contest as the #3 and Anushka Jaiswal battled for 6-3, 2-6, 10-5 triumph as the #4. Kaaviya Kannan capped the singles success with a 6-0, 6-0 win as the #5.

The Engineers also received a 6-1 victory by Ridenour / Jaiswal and a 6-3 win by Sarabosing / Kannan in the double matchups.

RPI next hosts Ithaca in a Liberty League matchup tomorrow afternoon.
