TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball program has announced its 2026 schedule as Head Coach
Jason Falcon and the Engineers look to build on a memorable 2025 campaign that featured the program's first Liberty League Championship since 2015 and a postseason run that ended in the NCAA Regional final at #1 nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins.
RPI opens the 2026 season with an early road swing, beginning with a doubleheader at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, Feb. 28, followed by additional spring break contests at the University of Mary Washington (March 1), Guilford (March 3), and a three-game stretch at Pfeiffer (March 5–6) in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
The Engineers are slated to play their home opener at Robison Field at Karl Steffen Ballpark on Wednesday, March 11 versus the University of Hartford, kicking off a busy homestand that also includes twin bills with Vermont State-Castleton (March 14) and Keene State (March 15), along with a midweek matchup against Williams on March 18.
Liberty League play ramps up late March with a weekend series versus Vassar, including a home doubleheader March 21, and continues with key home dates against Skidmore (March 27 - home doubleheader), Union (April 4 - home doubleheader), and Bard (April 24), in addition to a three-game road trip to Clarkson on April 11 and 12.
RPI rounds out the regular-season slate with non-league matchups against Middlebury (April 8), Cortland (April 18 - home doubleheader), and Springfield (April 22), plus a road date at SUNY Cobleskill on April 29, before postseason play begins with the Liberty League Cross Over Series and the Liberty League Tournament the first and second weekends of May.
