ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team faced Kenyon this morning, with the Owls earning a 4-0 team victory in the contest.
The duo of
Tasmay Shah and
Tsubasa Okada took the court against Juozas Cioladis and M. Llamas Castellanos before falling 6-4 in the top doubles matchup.
Gustave Viennet and
Quoc-Uy Vo represented RPI at the second doubles position against Jay Kedar Dixit and P. Pocasangre Kreling, while
Felix Puyplat and Aidan Atri competed at No. 3 doubles against Alejandro Gonzalez and Eliezer Gonzalez.
Singles play featured several competitive matches for the Engineers. Shah competed at the No. 1 position against Alejandro Gonzalez, while Okada battled P. Pocasangre Kreling at No. 2 singles after capturing the opening set. Viennet faced Llamas Castellanos at the third position, and Puyplat took the court at No. 4 singles against Cioladis.
Debarshi Sen represented RPI at No. 5 singles against S. Papamichael, and Atri rounded out the lineup at the sixth position against Rohan Sriram.
The Engineers will head back north, where they will begin preparations for the start of Liberty League play on Saturday, March 14 versus St. Lawrence.
