TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) football program has announced its 2026 schedule as Head Coach
Ralph Isernia and the Engineers look to carry momentum into the fall after winning last year's Clayton Chapman Bowl, which marked the program's third straight ECAC bowl victory.
RPI opens the 2026 campaign at home on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in the annual Transit Trophy Game, before remaining in Troy to host Utica University on Sept. 12. The Engineers then head on the road for their first away date, traveling to SUNY Brockport on Sept. 19, followed by a return home to welcome Hobart College on Sept. 26.
October begins with another home contest versus Hilbert College on Oct. 3, before RPI goes back on the road to face Buffalo State on Oct. 10. After a break in the schedule, the Engineers resume action with an away matchup at the University of Rochester on Oct. 24, then return to ECAV Stadium to host St. Lawrence University on Oct. 31.
The regular-season stretch run opens with a road contest at Ithaca College on Nov. 7, before RPI closes the schedule at home on Saturday, Nov. 14 against Union College in the annual Dutchman Shoes Trophy Game.
