TROY, N.Y. — The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis program earned multiple postseason recognitions as the Liberty League announced its annual awards today, led by
Tsubasa Okada receiving All-Liberty League First Team honors in singles. Okada also teamed with
Tasmay Shah to collect All-Liberty League Second Team recognition in doubles, while Shah added a Second Team selection in singles.
Okada's First Team singles honor followed a standout spring in which he compiled a 10–3 overall singles record and posted the ninth-best singles winning percentage (.759) in the Liberty League. He was particularly dominant at the top of the lineup, going a perfect 5–0 at No. 1 singles, the best mark in the conference, while also producing a strong 5–2 record at No. 2 singles, the second-best winning percentage in the league at that position.
In doubles, Okada and Shah earned First Team honors after serving as RPI's No. 1 tandem throughout the season. The pair finished 8–6 overall at No. 1 doubles, delivering one of the league's most productive top-flight pairings and ranking fifth in the Liberty League in winning percentage at that position.
Shah rounded out the Engineers' award winners with a Second Team singles selection. He posted an 8–9 overall singles record while delivering a strong 3–2 mark at No. 2 singles, ranking fourth in the Liberty League in winning percentage at that spot.
