CLINTON, N.Y. - Sophomore Amy Allen scored with 3:36 left in regulation and host Hamilton College upset nationally-ranked Rensselaer 1-0 in a Liberty League field hockey game played at Campus Road Athletic Field.

Continentals junior Courtney DeMaria made a season-high 14 saves, including 10 in the first half, to post her second shutout this year.  Hamilton (4-4 overall, 2-2 Liberty) has won three straight games and ended Rensselaer's win streak at six games. The Red Hawks, the 17th-ranked team in the nation, dropped to 8-3 and 3-1.

Hamilton scored the game's lone goal following a penalty corner. Freshman Erin McNally inserted the ball to sophomore Colleen Callaghan, who stopped the ball and then dribbled twice towards the cage before she passed to a wide-open Allen on her left. Allen has three goals this year and Callaghan leads the team with six assists and 10 points. Hamilton finished with an 11-10 edge in penalty corners.

Rensselaer held a 20-17 advantage in shots. Freshman Briana Earle made four saves for the Red Hawks. The Continentals lead the all-time series, 11-10, but Rensselaer had won six of the last seven contests between the teams entering Friday's game.
