Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - Junior All-America Christine Kemp scored three straight goals to lead the Skidmore College field hockey team to a 7-1 Liberty League win over Rensselaer Saturday at Thoroughbred Field. The 11th ranked Thoroughbreds have won six straight to go 7-1 overall and 3-0 in Liberty League play, while RPI is 0-8 and 0-2.
Skidmore put the game away early with four goals in the first 12:18 and six total in the first half.
Kemp had a hand in the first five Thoroughbred goals. She set up Carolyne McNanama 4:44 into the game and then picked up her second assist after getting through the Engineers midfield for a breakaway, sending a perfect pass to Elise Britt, who connected for her 10th goal of the season at 7:15.
Kemp then scored the next three goals, including tallies 23 seconds apart at 11:55 and 12:18 and the third at 27:31. Casey Tang closed out the first half scoring with her first of the season from McManama at 32:02.

Britt closed out the scoring at 64:12 from Ali Frey.
Skidmore had an 18-3 corner and 34-3 shot advantage. Thoroughbred goalie Liz Catinella earned her seventh win of the season. Margaux Hoagland had one save in the second half for Skidmore.
Sarah Burcher had 21 saves for Rensselaer.
