ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Sophomore
Jarrett Regier (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) captured victories at both first flight singles and doubles, but the Rensselaer men's tennis team fell to Hobart College in the opening round of the 2011 Flower City Tournament. With the win the Statesmen open season at 1-0, while the Engineers begin 0-1.
Regier paired with freshman
Brandon Mazzara (Orange, CA/Villa Park) to take the team's lone doubles flight victory, while the two schools split the six singles competitions. Mazzara joined Regier and fellow first-year standout
Will Dickie (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxborough Regional) as Rensselaer singles winners, as the trio won at the first, second and third flights.
