Oneonta scored three goals in the opening half of play while holding the Engineers to no shots. Senior Suzanne Wright scored her 13th goal of the year in the 12th minute to get things going for Oneonta. Her goal was assisted by junior Ashley Morgan, who took a shot that got by the goalie before Wright redirected it to the back of the net.

A couple of minutes later, sophomore Andrea Day collected a rebound and lifted a shot that went into the upper left corner of the goal.  It was Day's 10th goal of the season.

Morgan capped the scoring in the first half unassisted, as she notched her first of two goals in the game.  Morgan also scored Oneonta's fourth goal in the 57th minute, assisted by senior Ashley Johnson.

Johnson scored her own goal in the 64th minute with an assist from Day. Day pushed a pass across the circle that Johnson was able to get her stick on and redirect into the back of the goal.
