ORLANDO, Fla. – Sophomore
Jarrett Regier (East Amherst, NY / Clarence) earned victories at first doubles and first singles but Stevens Institute of Technology earned five singles victories to defeat the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team, 6-3. RPI falls to 6-5, while the Ducks, who are ranked 12th in the Northeast Region, improve to 2-3.
Regier and freshman
Brandon Mazzara (Orange, CA / Villa Park) won at first doubles by a score of 8-4, while the tandem of
Will Dickie (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxborough Regional) and
Andre Vorbrodt (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highland Regional) captured third doubles in a tie-break, 9-8 (4).
Stevens then went on to win five of the six singles matches, with the lone exception being a three-set victory by Regier, who defeated junior Chris Rosensteel (East Windsor, N.J./Peddie School), 1-6, 6-3, 10-7.

The Engineers are back in action on Thursday against Hamilton College beginning at 3pm. Stevens competes again on March 28 when it hosts Hunter College at 3:30pm.
