GENEVA, N.Y. - Freshman Will Dickie pulled out a three-set victory at third singles to give the Rensselaer men's tennis team a 5-4 match victory over RIT in the first round of the Liberty League Tournament at Hobart. The Engineers advance to Sunday's semifinals against an opponent to be determined.

With the two teams tied at 4-4, Dickie battled back from a one-set deficit and captured the third singles competition, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. That win followed victories by teammates Jarrett Regier at first singles and Brandon Mazzara at first and second singles, respectively.

RPI had won two of the three doubles matches, with Regier and Mazzara at one and Dickie and Andre Vorbrodt at three.
