GENEVA, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College men's tennis team advanced to the Liberty League finals with a 5-0 win over Rensslear in the Liberty League semifinals played at Hobart.

The Thoroughbreds, ranked 22nd nationally, will play Vassar College in Monday's championship match at 10 a.m.

Skidmore (10-6) led 3-0 after doubles and then clinched the match with singles wins by Jimmy Sherpa, Luke Granger, and Miles Ransom. The Engineers conclude their season with a 9-9 overall record.

The Thoroughbreds beat Vassar 5-4 in the 2011 Liberty League championship match. Skidmore beat the Brewers 6-3 in February.
