SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Skidmore College golf team will make its 27th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships after defeating RPI 3-2 for its seventh straight Liberty League title, Sunday afternoon at McGregor Links Country Club.

Both teams were neck-and-neck after the first four pairings, with each team holding two victories. The championship came down to the fifth pairing between Skidmore's Garrett Colgan and RPI's Grant Rosener with Colgan winning 3 and 2 to clinch the league title; Skidmore's 16th overall league championship in 18 years.

Sophomore Brandon Mader and Craig Bokenfohr earned wins for the Engineers. Also winning for Skidmore was Zach Grossman who defeated Jamie Jackson 3 and 2, while Anthony DiLisio posted a 3 and 2 victory over Michael Souliotis. 

The 16th ranked Thoroughbreds will open up NCAA tournament play May 14-17 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
